Quarries, gravel crushers, sandpits and the like often generate both noise and dust. NILU can quantify dust fallout according to the Norwegian standard NS4852. Our laboratory is accredited for this type of analysis, and also meets the requirements of NS-EN ISO/IEC 17025.

The measuring process
NILU begins measurements on site, by setting up particulate fallout collectors for a minimum of one month. After that time, the collectors are gathered and sent back to NILU’s laboratories. There the content is filtered, and measurements and analyses are performed according to the approved standard.
