Data Acquisition

Complex operations, such as data acquisition, data transfer, retrieval and automated Quality Assurance require sophisticated tools. At NILU we have developed a suite of tools called AIRQuis. Part of the AIRQUIS system is the Automated Data Acquisition System, or ADACS.

ADACS is a sophisticated system that combines unit conversion, scaling and QA flagging for the most robust, reliable and efficient data management system on the market.

ADACS is designed to retrieve data from a variety of scientific instruments. These can be located remotely at monitoring stations anywhere on the globe, giving you full oversight and control via our sister product, AirQUIS Monitoring.

Instruments

Currently, ADACS supports many of the most popular instruments used in air quality measurement.

Unit Conversion

ADACS performs automatic unit conversion on the data to ensure consistency.

Data Scaling

ADACS can perform automatic scaling of data as well as automatic calculations of different compounds, such as determining amounts of NO2 from NOX and NO.

Calibration

Each instrument can be individually calibrated to ensure accurate reading of the data.

Quality Assurance

ADACS flags data automatically. For example, if the data peaks are higher or lower than a set threshold, this data will be flagged so it can later be reviewed by an analyst. Data validation for values that are above the maximum limit, below the minimum limit and/or too many equals are all automatically checked at the point of origin.
